First and foremost, I was a Certified Personal Trainer for 3 years at LA Fitness. Before that I served 7 years in the United States Marine Corps and one year in the California Army National Guard (yeah I know, don’t ask lol), which is where the foundation of my fitness knowledge came from. I’ve competed in Men’s Physique which I was pretty successful in doing without a coach or team. I am currently working as a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree.
There are several things I’ve noticed, whether I was working or working out in the gym. These are a few suggestions I would recommend for you to do to stop wasting your time. Now, you will be able to see these posts later on and view my rationales on this blog, but for now just listen up.
- Get off the treadmill and pick up some weights!
- Stop guessing on your workout!
- Stop doing exercises that are not at your level!
These suggestions are all for your time and safety. Like I used to tell the members at my gym “Safety is the most important thing at our facility. We do not want you hurting yourself because that would put you further from achieving your goal. That and you don’t want to rack up hospital bills. And…. It is bad for business if you hurt yourself because you will cancel your training and membership. LOL. But seriously, I hate to see people waste their time, not achieving their goals, and looking the same year after year or continually cancelling and renewing their memberships every New Year. So if this is you… I highly recommend you hear what I have to say.
